First and foremost, thank you for your interest in donating your florals. Your commitment to making the world a loving place is one of the many reasons we offer this complimentary service. Below is additional information for you to determine if post-event donation is right for you.
Never. This service is completely free. Consider this our Sunday morning ritual.
This service is mainly for your table arrangements and installations. Some flowers, out of a water source, will not survive long enough to be donated. It is our recommendation and experience, that your wedding party/ personal florals not be donated. Consider those pieces a special gift from you to your loved ones. By the end of your wedding, your personal flowers have been out of water for a bit too long for donation.
Donation is offered when we return for pick up for your event. If there is pick-up, which is offered in our Luxe and Classic packages, we are able to donate your flowers.
In this option, we return to your event at the end of the night for pick-up. We will collect your arrangements after the Master of Ceremony announces the end of your event and donate the next day.
Friends + Family Option
For this option, we will return to your event for pick-up a half an hour before the close of your event. If your arrangements have been designed in keepsake vases, we will inform your venue coordinator to allow guest to take home your full centerpieces. If your design utilizes our rentals, we will collect your centerpieces as your event is coming to a close and repurpose your arrangements into bouquets, on site, for your guest to take home at departure. Whatever florals are not take by friends and family will be donated the next day.
We value quality of life, so you will see no pictures of previous donations. We respect the privacy of the special communities with which we share your donations.
If you and your family have a specific location to which you would like your flowers donated, we will deliver within a 30 min. radius of Pittsburgh. We will require approval from the facility before committing to donating.
During the pandemic, we take special care to deliver your flowers as bouquets to resident facilities that are allowing floral donation. No vases with hard surfaces are being used at this time. We follow all of the guidelines providing by the individual facility with each donation.
We begin to plan your donation a month prior to your event. Please let us know at the time of your final balance payment and RSVP count confirmation if you would like to donate your flowers. Don't worry, we know you have a lot on your to-do list; so we will check in with you if you have mentioned donation previously.
If your floral design is a joint purchase by you and your family, please feel free to take the time you need with your collective decision to donate. Many family members like to take table arrangements home as a keepsake from your wedding.
