Helpful guidance and tools to support you as you review your proposal.
Thank you so much for inquiring with us! I am touched by your interest in working with Honey Bunch Bouquets.
Your design proposal was created fully custom, based on your preferred floral investment and the answers you shared in your questionnaire. There is always space to dream and explore beyond the initial concept, and I am happy to continue that exploration together through a consultation.
This guide offers clarity on the practical elements of your florals so that a future consultation can focus more fully on creativity and vision.
Below, you will find visual examples of fully developed floral designs as a preview of what to expect, a simple planning timeline, and a glossary that provides insight and explains the language used throughout your quote.
Honey Bunch is built on kindness, creativity, and a deep devotion to artistry.
Our brand aesthetic is rooted in textural romance and ethereal design. We create florals that feel soft, layered, and emotionally expressive while intentionally using negative space to let each element breathe.
Rather than designing for fullness alone, we design for style, feeling, movement, and atmosphere. The result is a look that feels romantic, airy, refined, and quietly powerful.
"From the moment I began working with you, it felt like synchronicity. You didn’t just hear my wild and crazy ideas...—you understood them, completely. Loud and clear. No explanations needed. You just got it—not only logically, but soulfully."
My hope is that this space brings you clarity and a sense of ease as you decide what feels aligned for you.
To help you understand where you are now and what the journey ahead looks like, below is a three page PDF that walks through your floral timeline from booking, through planning, and into your wedding day.
In our work together, the word design is used in two distinct but connected ways. Both are important to your floral experience.
1. Physical Design
This refers to the labor of the tangible florals created for your wedding day. These are your delivered goods, including bouquets, arrangements, installations, and all of the mechanics that support and secure the florals in place.
2. Digital Design and Design Document
This is an extension of your original proposal. After booking, your proposal is expanded into a full design document based on our consultation conversation and your aligned investment.
This document includes a moment by moment breakdown of your florals for the ceremony, cocktails, and reception. It features itemized designs, inspiration images, written descriptions, digital renderings, and most importantly, clarity. You will be able to see and understand how your wedding day will look and feel through a complete floral lens. More on this below.
1. Custom Blend
Every design I create begins with a custom floral blend. This blend acts as your floral palette and ensures a cohesive look throughout your entire event so your style remains consistent and intentional from start to finish.
I first determine which of the three blend ratios your wedding design falls into:
From there, I build your complete wedding blend. Each individual arrangement then receives its own recipe using that master blend to create the exact emotional and visual moment needed. Many weddings include a thoughtful coordination of all three ratios across the event.
2. Floral Selection
My custom blends are built with a focus on premium blooms while thoughtfully incorporating a balance of everyday, premium, and luxe flowers. This approach allows your design to feel elevated while remaining aligned with your overall investment.
Your blend will include:
And may include:
Each blend prioritizes your design style while thoughtfully balancing your budget.
3. Flowers Decoded
Below is a helpful guide to visualize what each category includes.
Everyday
Ferns, carnations, mums, fillers, and similar supporting florals
Premium
Roses, lisianthus, delphinium, and comparable feature blooms
Luxe
Garden roses, ranunculus, sweet pea, dahlia, peony, and other high value florals
Specialty
Orchids, anthurium, and any speciality imports
CLIENT PERSPECTIVE:
"All I can say is WOW! Valerie and her team absolutely blew me away from the very first day I contacted them. The entire process was so easy, hands on, and ran flawlessly from start to finish. Valerie took my inspiration photos and somehow made it better than the Pinterest dream board photos I sent her. I was literally jumping for joy the moment I saw everything put together on our wedding day and thought to myself "is this really MY day?!" I honestly could not believe how beautiful she made everything. If you are on the fence about hiring her and her team don't be. They are the BEST decision you will make for your wedding day."
When I refer to your floral style, I am speaking to the overall look and feeling of your florals. This includes both the immediate visual impression and the quiet nuances that give the design its soul. Think Rose and Hydrangea, Neo-classical Revival, Organic, etc.
I begin with the big-picture impression the pulled-back view of the room.
1. Big-picture Impression
Example:
“Okay, this is garden style.”
This is the first thing your guests feel when they walk into the space. The atmosphere reads as soft, naturally elegant, and romantically abundant.
Then, I zoom in...
2. Stylistic Nuance
"Ah, this is French Garden Style"
A French garden may feel countryside-inspired with gentle blues and lavender, slightly untamed movement, and worn pottery vessels.
or
"This feels like an elevated garden English patio garden brought indoors"
An English garden leans into climbing ivy, mixtures of cottage wildflowers, and large, romantic focal blooms.
or
"This is a classic wedding garden look."
A classic wedding garden often reads as classic white and green, with elegant stems like lisianthus and ranunculus creating a timeless, refined expression with a more neutral characterization.
Then, I layer in the final and most important level: you.
3. Personal Aesthetic
This is where your personal aesthetic comes forward in a more direct way. I see it in the inspiration images you have collected and in the vendors you have selected. Your color palette, fabrics, venue, and creative partners, including your photographer, all inform the floral atmosphere.
From there, I lean in through conversation. I ask the detailed questions that transform your florals from a vision into a truly personal experience and expression.
This is how your floral design becomes a cohesive atmosphere that speaks on your behalf. It is an emotional language that tells your story without words.
CLIENT PERSPECITVE:
"You made me the bouquet of my dreams—wild, fresh, serene, elegant, chic, yet filled with magic. And the chuppah… how will I ever put that into words? Alex and I truly felt like we were in our own dimension beneath it. It was whimsical and soulful, effortless yet meticulous, detailed yet free, as if you had wandered the woods, plucked a few enchanted branches and blossoms, and woven them into a portal. It was hypnotizing, and it added a depth and sacredness to our ceremony that we’ll carry forever."
GUEST PERSPECTIVE:
"These were the best flowers I've seen at any wedding I've ever been to. The colors are just magnificent. Truly. Truly, well done."
FAMILY + FATHER'S PERSPECTIVE:
Thank you for the most exquisite flowers I’ve ever seen. My daughter had a very specific vision, and I wasn’t sure anyone could fully bring it to life—but you and your team not only delivered, you exceeded all expectations. Your professionalism, creativity, and flawless execution were truly unmatched. Thank you for helping make my daughter’s wedding day absolutely extraordinary."
The open design period is the time between the delivery of your full design document and 30 days prior to your event. During this time, after initial revisions are completed, your design moves into a holding phase. We are able to revisit your design and floral planning during this period as needed. The next scheduled time we will reach out regarding your design is at the two month mark, when we will send our logistics questionnaire and guide you toward scheduling your final design review.
Smaller refinements, such as item counts or light add ons, are reserved for the final design review. Larger changes or new requests may be placed at any time during the open design period.
The Design Review is our final creative meeting where we walk through your floral design together in detail. We will meet by Google Meet or in person for a venue walk through, if needed.
This is where we discuss the design vision in detail and confirm placement, quantities, and the overall flow of your florals throughout the day. Once this meeting is complete and the final revision is approved by you, your design is considered finalized and ready for production. At this time, the final payment is due.
As mentioned above, after booking, your design proposal will be expanded into a full design document and kept in your client portal throughout your engagement period. You will have access to this design for revisions until 30 days prior to your event. At that time, your design will close and the remaining balance will be due.
Please enjoy the sample designs below from recent weddings.
This final section offers clarity around the questions that often arise as you review your proposal. Thank you!
Some clients prefer to talk through their vision before booking, while others are comfortable refining their design afterward. This guide explains the different meeting options available to you.
A consultation is a meeting that takes place before booking. This is a space to explore your vision together, talk through ideas in real time, and determine whether we are aligned before moving forward. A consultation is optional and is best suited for clients who would like deeper conversation prior to booking.
While your vision is discussed during a consultation, the full design document is not created until a contract and deposit are signed. Think of this meeting as a supportive tool to help you decide whether to move forward with Honey Bunch Bouquets.
Clients who feel ready to book immediately may bypass a consultation and move directly to the next type of meeting.
A conceptual meeting takes place after booking, once a formal contract and deposit are received, and before your full design document is created as an expansion of your proposal. This is not a discovery consultation, but a working design discussion between artist and client.
During this meeting, we review the proposed concept, confirm direction, and design in real time to ensure full alignment before your complete design is built and delivered. This meeting may include you and your event planner, if applicable.
In some cases, a full design is created and refined through email without a live meeting. This is the process for The Bouquet Experience package as the design is a streamlined concept.
For Full Service clients, this approach is most commonly used when working directly with an event planner, who manages design feedback on the client’s behalf. It may also be used when the design is already very clearly defined within the proposal or when this is the client’s preferred communication style.
Yes. A booking retainer is required to reserve my services. Your date is not held until the retainer and signed agreement are received.
Yes. After booking, your proposal is expanded into a full design document and enters the open design period. During this time, we can revisit your design and make adjustments. Final refinements are completed during your Design Review, which takes place about 45 days before your event. Your design closes 30 days prior to your wedding.
The design fee includes the creative planning of your florals, all behind the scenes coordination and preparation, and the day of services such as setup and onsite staffing.
Yes. All proposals include delivery and professional setup unless otherwise noted. Strike and large scale transitions are reserved for Full Service designs and are listed within the design proposal.
Select rental items may be available depending on your design needs and inventory. All rental items are outlined clearly within your proposal when included.
A floral transition is when floral pieces are moved or repurposed from one part of your event to another.
For example, ceremony arrangements may be transitioned to the reception space, sweetheart table, or bar area after the ceremony concludes. Transitions require dedicated staffing and precise timing to ensure everything is moved carefully and seamlessly during your event flow.
Transitions are carefully planned and scaled to create design magic. If you have a small amount of florals to be moved, with no re-design work, a third party may move the florals. If large scale design or an abundance of florals need moved and/or re-designed, our team must remain onsite to execute this work.
Event strike is the removal of florals, mechanics, and rental items from your venue after your event concludes. This typically takes place at the end of the reception or the following morning, depending on venue guidelines. Most venues require your floral team to return the same night and have everything removed within one hour of your event's end. (If you last dance is at 10PM, your florist must have everything removed by 11PM.).
Strike is included in Full Service designs and is not included in the Bouquet Experience proposals.
